Apex Foundation Honors Salem Elementary Staff Members
Apex Foundation in Apex, North Carolina, has recognized two Salem Elementary School staff members for their outstanding contributions. Allison Malpass, an art teacher, has been acknowledged for her commitment to connecting art projects to academic standards and her efforts to provide students with meaningful art-making experiences. Her work includes showcasing students’ visual art during Salem Elementary’s annual Night at the Arts.
Yesica Moya, the school’s receptionist, was honored for her role as the first point of contact for many community members. She is recognized for her professionalism, kindness, and support for both families and students, including assistance to Spanish-speaking families.
Salem Elementary is part of the Wake County Public School System. The recognition event was supported by the Town of Apex Government, FRESH Local Ice Cream, McDonald’s of Apex, and Harnett County.
