Morrisville Proclaims Inaugural Wake Early Graduates

The Town of Morrisville, North Carolina, has issued a proclamation honoring the inaugural graduating class of Wake Early College of Information and Biotechnologies. The proclamation was presented on April 4, 2023, recognizing the school’s academic excellence, innovation, and impact on the community.

Wake Early College of Information and Biotechnologies, which opened in 2022 as the first high school within the Town of Morrisville, received an “A” School Report Card Grade from the NC Department of Public Instruction. The school achieved the highest district-wide End-of-Course Exam scores and was named a School of Excellence by Magnet Schools of America. Students at the school graduate with both high school diplomas and college credits, and are prepared for careers in biotechnology, cybersecurity, and computer programming.

Additionally, the proclamation noted the unique partnership with Wake Technical Community College. This partnership provides students with a blend of rigorous high school and college courses that give them a head start in their academic and professional careers.

The Town Council’s proclamation underscores Morrisville’s support for initiatives that promote educational excellence and workforce development in key areas of technology and health sciences.
