Lansing City Hall Hosts Día de los Muertos Altar

LANSING, MI – In celebration of Día de los Muertos, also known as the Day of the Dead, Lansing City Hall will host a community altar from October 24 to November 4. Located at 124 W. Michigan Ave, the altar will be open for contributions Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM.

Residents are encouraged to bring small mementos in honor of their loved ones who have passed away. Items can be placed on the communal altar, which marks the celebration on November 1-2. Participants are reminded to retrieve their items by 5 PM on November 4.

This is the first year that a community altar will be featured in City Hall for Día de los Muertos.
