YMCA Senior Appreciation Events Announced for October

Staff Report / Lansinglocal.org

The YMCA is hosting a Senior Appreciation Event across multiple locations in October, offering attendees a chance to enjoy refreshments, participate in a raffle, and receive flu vaccinations.

The event at the Oak Park YMCA will take place on Tuesday, October 1st from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Following that, the Parkwood YMCA will host its event on Tuesday, October 8th from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Lastly, the Westside YMCA will have its Senior Appreciation Day on Thursday, October 10th, also from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM.

Flu vaccinations will be administered by the Michigan Community Visiting Nurse Association. To expedite the vaccination process, participants are encouraged to complete consent forms on the YMCA website before arriving and to bring their insurance cards. Alana’s Foundation will cover the cost of vaccinations for those who are uninsured.

For more details and to pre-register for the event, attendees can visit the YMCA's website at www.lansingymca.org/events/senior-appreciation-day. Questions can be directed to info@alanasfoundation.org.
