Lansing Library Reopens; Mason Branch Closed Indefinitely
Capital Area District Libraries has announced that the Lansing branch will reopen to the public on September 16. An inspector cleared the building for occupancy after a recent incident. However, damage to the ramp and the parallel wall has resulted in the closure of the wheelchair accessible entrance and the bathroom behind the desk until further repairs are completed. Library patrons needing accessible access are asked to use the front entrance and adjoining restroom. Additionally, patrons are welcome to transfer their holds to another branch during this time.
In a separate update, the Mason branch is closed indefinitely due to a vehicle collision. Officials report that no serious injuries occurred in the Lansing incident and that the driver appears to be okay. Further information about the Mason branch will be provided on the library’s website at www.cadl.org/mason.
