Cornell Chef Serves Gourmet, Dreams of Restaurant

Arnav Kamulkar ’26, a student at Cornell University’s Nolan School of Hotel Administration, has been busy building his culinary career. While still a student, Kamulkar has created gourmet dinners in fraternity kitchens and transformed his childhood home into a restaurant offering six-course meals.

Kamulkar has also cooked for NFL players and competed on a television show led by celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay. He is set to gain further experience as a dining room manager during a summer 2025 internship at a New York City bistro.

At the age of 16, he self-published a cookbook featuring globally inspired dishes such as shrimp tacos, chicken bao buns, palak khichdi, and a version of tiramisu. On campus, he runs an enterprise that caters elaborate meals for fellow students, complete with curated music playlists for each course.

Kamulkar stated that his dream is to open his own restaurant, and he is focused on taking steps to achieve that goal.
